Academics

The Archdiocese of Detroit provides direction for academics at Star in Religion and two of the major subject areas.  Teachers follow the AOD standards when preparing lessons in Language Arts and Mathemetics.  Like all other schools, similar standards are not yet available for Social Studies and Science.  Social Studies uses the guidelines given by the State of Michigan.  Science follows the Next Generation Science Standards as adopted by the State of Michigan.

Star's special classes include Physical Education, Technology (Computers), Music, Art, Library and Spanish.
