COVID-19 Case Update

On September 22, we were made aware of a COVID-19 case in a student amongst the Our Lady Star of the Sea School School Community. We have been in close contact with Wayne County in regards to the case and are following all directives and COVID protocols. This data may include probable and confirmed cases among students, staff, administration, or coaches, if the person with COVID-19 was in the building or participating in a school-sponsored function during their infectious period.

The affected student was a 4th Grader and self-quarantined from September 23 - October 6. There were no close contacts between the student and other students or staff during the contagious period.

Our school will continue to take every precaution necessary. This may include spraying classrooms, hallways, locker rooms, and common areas, as needed, with a sanitizer, along with other methods of disinfection.
