On November 11, we were made aware of two COVID-19 cases in students amongst the Our Lady Star of the Sea School Community. We have been in close contact with Wayne County in regards to the case and are following all directives and COVID protocols. This data may include probable and confirmed cases among students, staff, administration, or coaches, if the person with COVID-19 was in the building or participating in a school-sponsored function during their infectious period.
The affected students are in Young 5’s and First Grade. We have determined the students have been out of school since their exposure to the COVID-19 positive individual therefore, there is no COVID-19 exposure threat to any of our students or staff. The students are currently home quarantining for 10 days and will be returning safely to school as per Wayne County Health Department requirements.
