As most of you may know, Governor Whitmer issued an Executive Order on September 25, 2020 that addressed, amongst other items, masks for students in grades Kindergarten and up. Below is the verbiage from this Executive Order.
Executive Order 2020-185 requires all students in grades kindergarten and up in regions 1-5 and 7 to wear a face covering in classrooms. Prior orders had recommended, but not required, a face covering for grades kindergarten through five.
As per this new Order, our students from Kindergarten through 5th grade will be required to wear masks in their classrooms, not just in common areas. Our teachers will continue to give mask breaks throughout the day to allow students some breathing breaks. While we are all continuing to pray for a break from these COVID requirements and environment, we are so thankful that we are able to be in school learning.
Thank you all so much for your understanding and support.
