Star families, What a wonderful year 2022-23 has been!! As the year is quickly coming to an end, I wanted to share with our Star Family some exciting staffing changes for the 2023-24 School Year. First, we are happy to be announcing that Ms. Theis will be shifting to the Spanish Teaching position. Prior to joining our Star team in 2014 as our Fourth Grade teacher, Ms. Theis spent several years teaching K-8th Spanish, and she is so excited to be picking up the reigns on our Spanish program next year. As a wonderfully compassionate and strong teacher, we are so happy she will be taking on the role as our new Spanish Teacher. With Ms. Theis moving to Spanish, we are in final discussions with a great candidate to take over the 4th grade teaching position. She has taught in Catholic schools for many years and is looking forward to be joining our Star teaching team. We are also excited to be in final discussions with a very talented and experienced Art teacher for next year. She has been teaching Art in Elementary School and High School for 20+years and is also looking forward to be joining our wonderful Star teaching team. We will share more about these two great teachers once we have finalized bringing them on board. We are very sad to be announcing that Mrs. Schomer will not be returning next year. She has done such an amazing job running our front office – helping students, supporting teachers, staff, and families, and keeping things organized around school. We will miss her considerably and send with her our love and blessings. With Ms. Schomer not returning next year, I am so happy to be announcing that we have hired Mrs. Mary Kaiser to take on the very important role as our School Secretary. Mrs. Kaiser has spent many years in the corporate world and is very excited to be changing gears by joining us at Star. If you have recently visited the school office, you may have already seen Mrs. Kaiser working with Mrs. Schomer learning the ropes. We are so excited for her to be joining our team and taking on this important role. If you have not already done so, please take a moment and introduce yourself to her when you see her. She is awesome! We are really looking forward to the additions to our staff next year! What an amazing year we have had! God bless, Mrs. Carter-Waid - Principal
