Welcome to Star&#039;s NEW Principal

Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic School is proud to announce our new principal, Mrs. Meghan Carter. We look forward to a new school year under Mrs. Carter's leadership and welcome her to the Star community with open arms!

As a native of Michigan, Meghan Carter grew up in the metro Detroit area. She is the third of six girls who all attended Catholic School from 1st - 12th Grade.

After graduating with a Civil Engineering Degree from Michigan State University, Meghan spent 13 years working in commercial construction and owning her own construction management company before returning to school in 2008 to earn her degree in Elementary Education from Oakland University. Upon graduation from Oakland, Meghan was hired by St. Hugo as their Junior High math teacher during which time she completed her masters in Educational Leader at Marygrove College.

Along with other leadership positions, Meghan worked on the Parent Advisory Committee addressing many critical school issues. She was also a member of the school Accreditation Committee assisting in the team in obtaining St. Hugo’s AOD accreditation.

Meghan is looking forward to combining her professional management and educational careers as the new principal of Our Lady Star of the Sea and working with the incredible administration, staff and students.
