Resource Room

The Resource Room is a separate classroom where students can be provided academic support or challenging enrichment based upon individual need. The center is staffed with certified teachers who offer support materials and instruction to better enable achievement of core curriculum standards, or to extend investigation of concepts presented in the classroom. The Resource Room is designed to offer individual and/or small group instruction for students who are I need of academic assistance. Collaboration with teachers for some advanced skill instruction may also be provided. Students are seen by appointment after qualifying assessments.


Support services consist of:

• F.A.S.T phonemic awareness instruction
• Remedial and advance instruction
• On going tutorial instruction
• Make-up tests
• Instructional materials modified/adapted
• Assess student learning styles, strengths, and unique needs
• Administer admissions evaluation for incoming students
• Monitor academic accommodations and curriculum
• Modifications for students with an IEP
