Aidan McFarlane, eighth grader at Our Lady Star of the Sea School and daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Jeffrey McFarlane has been notified by the National Geographic Society that she is one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2017 Michigan National Geographic State Bee. The contest will be held at Western Michigan University on Friday, March 31, 2017.

Star's Student Council was inducted on October 14, 2016.

On September 30, 2016, Star's 8th graders enjoyed an international experience - going to see a play in Stratford, Ontario!

On Friday, September 16, 2016, Star's 8th graders had a wonderful day at camp.

For our oldest students, Special Persons Day (for Catholic Schools Week) takes on a much broader meaning. Our students and their guests prepare 1200 lunches for the homeless veterans of Detroit.

Preschool through grade 5 friends enjoyed a week of learning to Follow Jesus, the Light of the World, through games at Spelunker Games & Sports, participating in Deep Bible Quests, themed snacks at the Cavern Café, watching inspiring stories about kids helping others in Kid Vid Cinema and a variety of activities at the Imagination Station.
