We are delighted to announce that Mrs. Staperfenne has accepted a long-term teaching position with Our Lady Star of the Sea. She will be teaching 4th grade until a full-time teacher is hired.
Not only is Mrs. Staperfenne a current Star mom, but she also brings a wealth of teaching experience to our school. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and has completed her coursework for a master’s degree from Oakland University. Mrs. Staperfenne is a certified Michigan K-12 (Sp.Ed) teacher. She has taught all grade levels (with the exception of 7th grade). She has taught in Princeton City Schools (Cincinnati, OH), and in the autism unit at Trombley Elementary (Grosse Pointe). Her most recent teaching position was in the learning resource center (LRC) at Grosse Pointe South High School.
Beyond Mrs. Staperfenne’s academic and professional credentials, she is eager to get to know each of her students and work closely with families to ensure a successful and enriching school year. She is super excited to be joining the Star faculty and we are overjoyed to have her! We are confident that she will be a valuable addition to our team and that her presence will have a positive impact on our students and staff.
Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Staperfenne!
We will continue to post and search for a 4th grade teacher. We look forward to seeing you all next week!
