The AOD has issued a letter encouraging all AOD elementary schools stay in in-person learning. Read the full letter HERE. A message from your principal, Mrs. Carter:
Star Families,
As you may have heard, Gov. Whitmer spoke on Sunday, November 15 regarding the current COVID-19 environment in Michigan, including several new mandates. After analyzing the new State mandates and reviewing OLSOS’s current in-person learning, Msgr. Smetanka and I have determined that there is no need for OLSOS to change to remote learning.
Our Star families, students, and staff have done an amazing job over the past two and a half months keeping each other safe, and we are confident with these continued efforts we can remain with in-person learning. As usual, we will continue to assess our learning environment daily and make changes if necessary.
I will continue to pray for the health, safety and well-being of each of our Star families. During this Thanksgiving season, I want to thank you all for your continued support and partnership. We are so very very blessed.
