LEGO Teams compete in Lego League Explore Expo

Congratulations to our LEGO EXPLORE teams who participated in the Grosse Pointe Woods FIRST Lego League Explore Expo at University Liggett on May 18.

Our Sailors team, made up of Nicasio Ayers, Olivia Bertelsen, Owen Matus, Ronan McEachren, Matias Nazarko and Leo Sims won the Team Model Award.

Our Skippers team made up of West Farley, Everett Matus, Louie Meakin, Jonathan Peltz, Theo Ryan and Sara Vasquez received the Coding Award.

Organized as part of Star Lights, our growing FIRST LEGO LEAGUE program is directed by Head Coach Dawn Dobija, and assisted by Star parents Jenny Ryan, Luis Vasquez and Rose Farley. Thank you to all who make the program a success, and congratulations to our two exceptional teams!
