The last week of Advent is almost upon us. As we find ourselves checking our shopping lists preparing for Christmas, may we also take time to prepare for the celebration of Christ’s birth. Jesus shows himself in so many ways in our lives, and it is so joyous to celebrate with our students and children his birth.
I would like to share my heartfelt gratitude to all our families as you make many sacrifices to send your children to Our Lady Star of the Sea School. God has put on your hearts the desire to give your children a warm, loving spiritual learning environment where they can see His love in action and learn to share it with others.
“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” (Matthew 19:14) Our teachers and staff feel very privileged to be a part of leading your children to Jesus.
I hope you enjoy your celebration of the birth of Jesus with your family and friends. As you see the light of the star on the top of your own or someone else’s Christmas tree, may you be reminded how your “Star children” bring light into our school and to the world which Jesus created.
May you feel God’s blessings this Christmas season and throughout the New Year. God bless Our Lady Star of the Sea School family.
