We'vd like to introduce our new staff we will be introducing for the 2022/2023 school year. We will be having three new teachers joining us this coming school year. Last year Mrs. Henrichs and Mrs. Lucido worked together to keep our Learning Resource Center strong and assist our Resource students with academic success. Since the retirement of Mrs. Sherer a few years ago, we have been looking for the right individual to step into the Learning Resource Center teaching position full time and have been blessed to have found Mrs. Donna Liburdi. With a Masters in Special Education emphasizing Learning Disabilities, and over 10 years as a Special Education Teacher, Mrs. Liburdi has the experience, education and, just as importantly, the passion to work with our teachers to help her students in the Learning Resource Center. We are so happy to have Mrs. Liburdi joining us. This year we have added a second First Grade classroom. We are so happy to be having Mrs. Angela Howell joining Mrs. Ancona in continuing with our strong First Grade curriculum. Mrs. Howell has spent many years in working with Preschool and First Grade students, making an academic and personal impact on her students’ lives. We are looking forward to her energy and passion for teaching her First Grade students. As many of you know, Mrs. Neer has moved to take over the Sixth Grade homeroom and Middle School Math position as Mrs. Fortier moves over to a part-time Math position. We are so excited to have found Mrs. Martha Spain who will be stepping into the vacant Fifth Grade teaching position. Mrs. Spain comes to us after having spent many years as a Middle School Language Arts teacher as well as a Fourth Grade homeroom teacher. Her creativity and passion for bringing subjects to life will be a wonderful addition to our upper elementary school and our Fifth Grade students. We have such an amazing school staff at Star and we are so excited to have Mrs. Liburdi, Mrs. Howell, and Mrs. Spain joining our team.
