Due to the high number of students and staff out of school this week and next with COVID related issues from the Christmas break, we will be shifting to remote learning. Tomorrow students will have a “snow day”, allowing teachers to have a work day to prepare for remote learning. Thursday, January 5th remote learning will start and will continue through Wednesday, January 12, 2022. This decision was not made lightly, however the health of all students and staff in the school is of utmost importance. We hope that with this week of at home learning, we can return to school on Thursday, January 13, 2022 healthy. If our students and staffs’ health situation requires it, remote learning may be extended to Friday, January 14, 2022.
Teachers will be sending out information to families tomorrow with regards to their students’ daily schedules and related live remote learning links, including for Specials classes. Teachers have directed students to take home with them today any materials they will need for remote learning. The school will be open during normal school hours the duration of the remote learning time for students to pick up any materials they may have forgotten.
We have and will continue to work, with your cooperation, to avoid the need for remote learning as it is best for students to be in school. Unfortunately this is unavoidable at this time. I will continue to pray for the health of all our Star families.
