I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Mid-Winter break. With Wayne County Health Department rescinding their mask mandate in school, we would like to make sure to communicate to our school families the Isolation and Quarantine protocols as per Wayne County Health Department for our Kindergarten through Eighth grade students and adults to reflect this change. The protocols are outlined below but in a nutshell: 1) The isolation of COVID-19 positive individuals remains at 5 days, but the individual must wear a mask in school for days 6-10 of their “isolation period”, 2) For students who are Close Contacts outside of school, their home quarantine period of 5 days since last exposure remains, but the individual must wear a mask in school for days 6-10 of their “quarantine period”, and 3) For students who are Close Contacts in school, there is still no quarantining required however, the individual must wear a mask in school for 5 days since last exposure to the COVID-19 positive individual.
