Young Fives Curriculum
The Young Fives program is a step between preschool and kindergarten; it is intended for students whose birthday falls AFTER October 1, or for those who may not be quite ready for the challenges of kindergarten. The program is designed for students who have a summer or fall birth date and/or could use additional time to develop readiness skills. Placing a child in our Young Fives program gives the child the gift of a year to grow while still experiencing academic, emotional, social and spiritual growth.
This program is set up with an emphasis on group learning and centers. Students learn concepts as a class and in centers for differentiated learning. This allows students to work at their own pace.
